Marso 22 sa Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas
          Noong Marso 22, 1897, ang Tejeros Convention ay ginanap sa Barrio Tejeros, San Francisco de Malabon, Cavite. Dito, nagpulong ang dalawang lapian ng Katipunan sa lalawigan ng Cavite, ang Magdalo at ang Magdiwang upang pag-usapan kung nararapat ng magtatag ng bagong pamahalaan na kahalili ng Katipunan. Sa naturang pagpupulong, naihalal na pangulo si Emilio Aguinaldo, pangalawang pangulo si Mariano Trias, Kapitan-Heneral si Artemio Ricarte, Punong-Tagapangasiwa ng Digmaan si Emiliano Riego de Dios at Tagapangasiwa ng Usaping Pangloob si Andres Bonifacio. Subalit tinutulan ni Daniel Tirona ang pagproklama kay Bonifacio sa dahilang hindi ito isang abugado. Nainsulto si Bonifacio sa ginawa ni Tirona, kaya Tagapangulo ng pagpupulong at Pangulo ng Konseho Supremo ng Katipunan, pinawalang bisa niya ang Tejeros Convention at ang halalang naganap sa pagpupulong.

          Ang pamamahala at kapangyarihan ng Sultanate ng Jolo ay nagwakas noong ika-22 ng Marso, 1915.

          Ang mga pamilya ng mga pro-Japanese collaborators na si President Jose P. Laurel Sr at House Speaker Benigno S. Aquino Sr ay lumisan patungong Japan noong Marso 22, 1945 upang humingi ng asylum at political refuge.

1863 – Mariano Ponce, writer, folklorist, member of the Propaganda Movement, diplomat, and among the founders of La Solidaridad and Asociacion Hispano-Filipino – in Baliwag, Bulacan (d. May 23, 1918).
1869 – Emilio Aguinaldo, President of the First Philippine (Malolos) Republic – in Kawit, Cavite (d. February 6, 1964). Note: According to Aguinaldo’s Partida de bautismo (birth certificate), he was born on March 26, 1869, but according to his mother’s account his birthdate is March 22, 1869. Aguinaldo himself celebrated his birth on March 22. Consequently, this is credited as his birthday.

          Ho Chi Minh (born Nguyen Sinh Cung, 1890-1969) was a Vietnamese Marxist-Lenninist leader that became prime minister (1945-1955) and president (1945-1969) of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam). Ho was an instrumental foundation in the establishment of the People’s Army of Vietnam and the Viet Cong at the height of the Vietnam War until his death. He fought for unity and independence of North and South Vietnam against invading countries like France and the United States.
          On Mayo 1, 1975, after the Vietnam War, to honor him and his works, the capital city of the Republic of Vietnam, Saigon, was renamed Ho Chi Minh City. Even the UNESCO gave honor and recognition for his heroism and works for Vietnam in the fields of education, arts and culture, and for his dedication for the attainment of independence, unity and democracy in Vietnam.
