1903 – The first population census was held. The results, including the total Philippine population at that time (7,635,426), were published on 1905.
1940 – The first literary protest in the Philippines was held at Plaza Moriones in Manila. Members of the Kapisanang Panitikan (literary organization) burned symbolic copies of books written by their elders amid fiery speeches condemning the state of national literature.
1945 – Corregidor was liberated by American forces from the Japanese.
1989 – Republic Act 6715 or “The New Labor Code” was signed into law.

Ang “Double Cross” ay isang nobelang pang-komiks na isinulat at iginuhit ni Francisco V. Coching sa Espesyal komiks (1959-1960). Isinapelikula ito ng Sampaguita Pictures sa ilalim ng direksyon ni Conrado Conde. Itinampok dito si Luis Gonzales sa pangunahing papel.

Ang Yank ay isang panglingguhan babasahing magazine na inilabas ng United States military noong World War II. Ito ay mula sa konsepto ni Egbert White na dati ng nagtrabaho sa Stars and Stripes noong World War I. Siya ay binigyan ng U.S. Army ng ranggong Lieutenant Colonel upang pamunuan ang publication. Naging unang editor nito si Major Hertzell Spence. Naglalaman ito ng mga kuwentong isinulat ng mga enlisted rank soldiers, larawan ng pin-up girls (mga sikat na artista sa dulaan at pelikula), ang “G.I.
