Picture Trivia
Debbie Reynolds started her career at Warner Brothers when she was 16 years old in 1948. After two years, she transferred to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and had a small but significant role in the film Three Little Words (1950). This was immediately followed by Two Weeks with Love where she sang “Aba Daba Honeymoon” that became a hit. On her first starring role in Singin’ in the Rain (1952), her career started to shine.
In 1957, she was featured in the film Tammy and the Bachelor opposite Leslie Nielsen. The song, “Tammy,” which she rendered in the movie reached Number 1 in the Billboard pop chart for five consecutive weeks. This was the best-sellinhg single of a female singer in 1957.
