                   In 1962, while actor-comedian Bob Hope (real name Leslie Townes Hope, 1903-2003) was at the height of his showbiz career, he was awarded the United States Congressional Gold Medal for his works in providing entertainment to American troops stationed in different places around the world.           Do you know that Bob Hope has a share in the ownership of the American professional baseball team Cleveland Indians? He bought the share in 1946. After the Indians last game in the Cleveland Stadium in 1993, he sang “Thanks for the Memory.”
