1763 – Diego Silang, the leader of the Ilocos rebellion against Spain, was assassinated by Miguel Vicos in Ilocos Sur on orders of the friars.
1898 – General Emilio Aguinaldo was victorious against the Spanish forces in Alapan, Imus, Cavite. The Philippine flag sewn in Hongkong by Marcela Marino de Agoncillo with the help of her daughter Lorenza and Delfina Herbosa de Natividad (a niece of Dr. Jose Rizal), and brought home by Aguinaldo, was first displayed in battle and hoisted in victory.
1977 – Pres. Ferdinand Marcos issued Presidential Decree No. 1143, instituting the technical descriptions of the Philippine Archipelago making the Philippine Islands into two parcels with Binondo Church as the tie point.

Charlie’s Angel on the television
series were Farrah Fawcett (as Jill Munroe), Kate Jackson (as Sabrina Duncan)
at Jaclyn Smith (as Kelly Garrett). The series was conceptualized by Australian
screenwriter Ivan Goff (1910-1999) and American film-television writer Benjamin
Eisenberg Roberts (1916-1984). It became an instant hit and owned the Number 1
spot on the ratings on its first season (1976-1977).
