1686 – The municipality of Ilagan, Isabela, was founded. It was formerly called Bolo. The name Ilagan came from na reverse of “nagali” which in local dialect means “transfer.”
1945 – The Philippine News Guild, the first journalists association formed after World War II, was organized by about 40 journalists led by Cipriano Cid at the Manila Jockey Club.

1954 – Ryan Cayabyab (full name Raymundo Cipriano Pujante Cayabyab), composer, singer, pianist and conductor – in Quezon City.
