Savvy Vol. 3 No. 10, July 28, 1997

You’ve probably seen Jurassic Park and all its sequels, and a question lingers in your mind: “What If Dinosaurs were (Really) Alive Today?” I think I’ve written at least three articles about this topic. Here’s one version inside the pages of Savvy magazine, July 28, 1997 issue.

“I will remember your great deeds, LORD; I will recall the wonders you did in the past. I will think about all that you have done; I will meditate on all your mighty acts.” – Psalms 77:11-12, The Good News Bible in Today’s English Version.

Hollywood Shifting Trends

MOD Vol. 37 No. 1810, July 17, 2006
On the cover: 2006 Miss Philippines-Earth Catherine Untalan

Bits of information collected from American celebrity and fashion magazines, and the Internet, made into two short articles: “Hollywood’s Shifting Trends” (p. 22) and “Something Good from Hollywood” (p. 52).

“Let us give thanks to the GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the GOD from whom all help comes! He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from GOD.” – Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians 1:3-4, The Good News Bible in Today’s English Version

Crossword Puzzles About Sports

Sports Weekly Magazine Vol. 7 Nos. 372 and 373, July 17-24 and 24-31, 1981
On the covers: Toyota’s Francis Arnaiz (left) and Crispa’s Bernard Fabiosa (right),
the best point guards of their era.

On this two successive issues of Sports Weekly Magazine are specialized crossword puzzles (about sports), which are among the earliest I made. I was in college when I did these crosswords. I started contributing crossword puzzles to Atlas Publishing’s Sports Weekly, Special People and MOD Filipina, and to Times Journal (International Edition) when I was still in high school. Notice that the crossword puzzles are of grid 14x14, something rarely done by crossword puzzle maker. They are also hand-drawn.

Kadyot Pakalikot ni Estong Payatot: Abominasyon

Tatlong makakasunod na isyu ng The Daily Sun
Vol. 1 Nos. 100, 101 & 102, Hulyo 8, 9 at 10, 2013

EDITORIAL
KADYOT PAKALIKOT NI ESTONG PAYATOT

ABOMINASYON
Part I

(Romans 1:27-28).

AMEN!

Dengue Danger

Savvy Vol. 3 No. 9, July 14, 1997
On the cover: Angelu de Leon

Math-O'Logics: Common Sense

MOD Filipina Vol. 22 No. 984, July 13, 1990
On the cover: Jyoti Khemchand Menghrajani

As logical analysis is part of my column Math-O’Logics, it is given that most of the time the use of mere basic “common sense” is enough to solve problems involving logic or math.

“For the LORD grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the path of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him.” – Proverbs 2:6-8, Holy Bible, New Living Translation.
