         In 1980, Donna Mills got the role as Abby Cunninghan in the would-be long-running primetime soap opera Knots Landing. She played the role that left a mark on the minds of viewers and fans for more than nine years until 1989.
          Mills agreed to be the non-nude cover of Playboy magazine’s November 1989 issue (Though she already appeared in the inside pictorials of the October 1987 issue) tagged as “Knots Landing’s Bitchy Sex Star.”
