          The original X-Men conceptualized by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby was composed only of six members: Professor Charles Francis Xavier (who formed the group), Scott Summers (a.k.a. Cyclops), Jean Grey (Marvel Girl), Warren Kenneth Worthington III (Angel), Robert Louis “Bobby” Drake (Iceman), at Henry Philip “Hank” McCoy (Beast). Their first adversary was Erik Magnus Lehnsherr a.k.a. Magneto. The X-Men characters Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, et. al., were later added into the group.
