          The fictional superhero Captain America was conceptualized by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. He first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), published by Timely Comics.
          It is the first Marvel Comics character to be seen in media outside comics with the release of the 1944 movie serial, Captain America. Both comics and movies were used as propaganda materials during World War II.
          Chris Evans who played Captain America in several films since 2011 earlier played another Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch, in the films Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007).
