          Do you know that Sesame Street and The Muppet Show character Kermit the Frog was a game show contestant? This was in To Tell the Truth. Aside from this, he had also participated as a member of the audience that assists contestants in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
          In 2011, Kermit together with other Muppet characters appeared on the Holloween episode of WWE Raw. He and Miss Piggy opened the show. Kermit also appeared with Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Gonzo in Saturday Night Live. In December 3, 2011, he appeared in Wolf Blitzer’s The Situation Room where he gave “tips” on how to avoid problems and dangers on setting up a Christmas tree.

          Do you know that the original Charlie’s Angels Kate Jackson (as Sabrina Duncan), Jacklyn Smith (as Kelly Garrett) and Farrah Fawcett (as Jill Munroe) were together only for the first season of the series? This was in 1976-1977 when the program was Number 1 on the ratings. Fawcett left after Season 1 and only has guest appearances in Seasons 3 and 4. In total, the three original Angels were only together in 29 episodes.

          Isa sa itinatanging nobela ni Francisco V. Coching ang “Waldas” (1954-1955) na kapwa niya isinulat at iginuhit para sa mga pahina ng Pilipino Komiks. Ang kuwento ay tungkol sa isang dalagang anak-mayaman na nagngangalang Elizabeth Sandoval, na mula sa pagkabata ay nasusunod ang bawat maibigan, at nagdalagang isang “waldas.” Nagsimula lamang magbago ang lahat nang mabiyudo at makapag-asawang ikalawa ang kaniyang ama ng isang mapanghimasok at malupit na madrasta.

          Ang “Waldas” ay isinapelikula ng Sampaguita Pictures noong 1955 na tinampukan ni Myrna Delgado sa pangunahing papel. Katambal niya si Pancho Magalona. Kasama rin sa pelikula sina Van de Leon, Eddie Garcia, Chichay, Rosa Mia, Conrado Conde, Panchito, Teroy de Guzman at Eddie Arenas.

          Do you that Madonna (full name Madonna Louis Ciccone) dedicated her album True Blue (1986) to her then husband Sean Penn? According to Rolling Stone, the songs in the album “originated from her heart.” Three of the songs reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100: “Live to Tell,” “Papa Don't Preach” at “Open Your Heart.” Aside from these, two more songs from the album was in the Top Five, “True Blue” at “La Isla Bonita.” The True Blue album, on the other hand, soared to the top charts of more than 28 countries.
          The following year, from July to September 1987, Madonna was on the “Who's That Girl” World Tour. Unfortunately, in Madonna’s rise to fame, her relationship with Penn soured. On December 1987, they filed for divorce that took effect on January 1989.

Do you know that George Lucas initially didn’t want Ford to play the now iconic role? Just like the Stars Wars Trilogy, George Lucas teamed-up with Steven Speilberg in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Speilberg like Ford to play the role of Indiana Jones, but Lucas wants Tom Selleck instead. Later, Lucas was persuaded to accept Ford when Selleck declined. The rest is history.

1948 – Dumaguete (capital of Negros oriental) was declared a city by virtue of Republic Act No. 327.

1950 – Cagayan de Oro (capital of Misamis Oriental) and Butuan (capital of Agusan del Norte) were declared cities by virtue of Republic Act no. 521 and 523 respectively.

          Avril Lavigne debut album Let Go was released in the United States on June 2002. It reached No. 2 in the US Billboard 200, and No. 1 in the Australia, Canada and UK charts. Due to these successes, Lavigne, who was then 17 years old, became the youngest solo female performer to reach No.1 in the UK chart. At the end of 2002, her Let Go album became a certified four-time platinum. On May 2003, the album exceeded one million in sales and obtained a diamond certification from the Canadian Recording Industry Association.

          On March 20, 2003, Lavigne appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone (SEE adjoining magazine cover). It was in 2003 that Lavigne won four Juno Awards out of six nominations. She was also featured in the 2003 video game Sims: Superstar as a non-playable celebrity character.
