1942 – The U.S. Congress amended the Nationality Act of 1940 to allow Filipino veterans to become naturalized American citizens.

1890 – Ruperto Cadava Kangleon, guerrila leader during the Japanese Occupation, military officer, Secretary of Defense, and senator – in Macrohon, Southern Leyte (d. February 27, 1958).

1911 – Emilio S. Liwanag, military officer and war hero – in Dagupan, Pangasinan (d. April 12, 1967).

1952 – Diosdado M. Peralta, jurist and associate justice of the Supreme Court – Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

          Before becoming an action superstar in his Die Hard films, Bruce Willis’ action-comedy potentials were first seen in his role as private detective David Addison Jr. opposite Cybill Sheperd in the TV series Moonlighting (1985-1989).           Do you know that before all these he was also a recording artist during the 1980s? Willis had a hit single – “Respect Yourself” – and his album The Return of Bruno, released on January 20, 1987, was a “moderate success.”
