          In 2011 Jennifer Lawrence played the role of Mystique in the film X-Men: First Class (2011). The following year, she got the lead role as Katniss Everdeen in controversial film The Hunger Games (2012), which was based on the best-selling novel of the same title by Suzanne Collins. She was much praised by movie critics for her portrayal.
          Do you know that in 2010, at the age of 20, she became the second youngest performer to be nominated for the Academy Best Actress Award? This was for the role, Ree Dolly, an Ozark Mountain girl who is trying to search for her drug-dealing father, that she portrayed in the independent film Winter’s Bone. Beside the Academy Award, she has been nominated in the same category for the Golden Globe Award, Sattelite Award at Screen Actors Guild Award.
