          The adult magazine Ace came out in the late 1950s and lasted up to the early 1980s. Subtitled “The Magazine of Men of Distinction,” it contains photographs of sexy girls. This is said to be one of the magazines that gave competition to High Hefner’s Playboy magazine.

Ang Palos Komiks na nagtatampok sa bayaning likhang-isip ni Nestor Redondo na Palos ay unang lumabas sa sirkulasyon noong Enero 24, 1969 tatlong araw na nauna sa nakatatak sa taklob-pahina (cover page) nito na Enero 27, 1969. Dito unang lumabas ang “Palos Fights Back” na sinulat ni Virgilio Redondo na iginuhit naman ni Nestor Redondo. Ang komiks na ito ay inilimbag ng Ares Publications Inc.

1987 – Colonel Rolando Abadilla led rebel soldiers in the takeover of GMA Channel 7. Simultaneously, another group headed by Colonel Bertuldo de la Cruz attacked Villamor Air Base. The two groups attempted to overthrow the Aquino government but surrendered three days later.
