          Aside from being an actor that played the role of Hiro Nakamura, one of the “good” mutant heroes in the television series Heroes, Masayori “Masi” Oka is also a mathematician and digitak effects artist. He worked for Industrial Light & Magic, the special effects company of George Lucas. Among the films that he did the computer generated imagery (CGI) are The Perfect Storm (2000), War of the Worlds (2005), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006), and the last three Star Wars prequels. Oka’s I.Q. is said to be around 180.

          Rebecca Romjin-Stamos (nee Rebecca Alie Kuizenga Stamos) was born in Berkeley, California (on November 6, 1972), but she is of Dutch lineage. Her father, Jaap Romjin is a furniture maker from Barneveld, the Netherlands, while her mother, Elizabeth Kuizenga, is an American of Dutch and English ancestry.
          Do you know that she appeared in a 1999 film as herself but uncredited? It was in the film Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

Ang Buwan ng Hunyo
          Ang buwan ng Hunyo o June ay pang-anim na buwan sa Gregorian Calendar. Maraming iba’t-ibang etimolohiya ang pinaniniwalaang pinanggalingan ng pangalan ng buwang ito. Ang June ay dating pang-apat na buwan sa Roman Calendar na sinasabing ipinangalan kay Juno, na kapatid at asawa ng punong-diyos ng mga Romano na si Jupiter. Mayroon ding nagsasabing ito ay mula sa pangalan ni Junius Brutus, isang bayaning nagpalaya sa mga Romano sa mga mananakop na Estruscans noong 510 B.C. Maaari ring mula ito sa tawag sa mababang kalipunan ng Roman Senate na Juniores. Ayon sa manunulang Romano na si Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso, 43 B.C. – A.D. 17), ang pangalan ng buwan ay mula sa salitang juvenis na ang ibig sabihin ay “kabataan.” Ang buwang ng June ay laging naiaangkop bilang buwan ng kasalan dahil noon umanong sinaunang panahon, ito ang buwan na pinipili ng mga kabataang magsing-irog na pagdausan ng kanilang kasal.
          Sa Pilipinas, ang Hunyo ay karaniwang buwan kung saan nagsisimula ang tag-ulan. Isang kabalintunaan o irony sapagkat sa buwan ng Hunyo rin itinatakda ang simula ng pasukan sa paaralan. Sa kalakhang bahagi rin ng buwang ito ipinagdiriwang ng Pilipinas ang kaniyang kasaralinlan.
          Ang rosas, higit lalo ang may pulang kulay, ang natatanging bulaklak ng buwan ng Hunyo. Samantalang ang mga birthstones ng buwan ay ang perlas, moonstone at alexandrite.

Ang Men’s Edge ay unang lumabas sa sirkulasyon noong June 1994. Ang magazine na inilimbag ng Moneysaver Multi-Systems Marketing (na siya ring naglabas ng Moneysaver Magazine) ay lumalabas tuwing ikalawang buwan. Ayon na rin sa prologue “From the Staff,” ang magazine na Men’s Edge ay “magazine by men, for men, of men." Naglalaman ito ng mga bagay-bagay na may kinalaman at kaugnayan sa mga kalalakihan, mula kotse, high-tech gadgets, baril, hanggang sa good grooming, action at adventure. Naglalaman din ito ng mga larawan ng naggagandahang babae, katulad ng supermodel na si Abbygale Arenas (ang iba pang itinampok sa unang isyu ay sina Anna Gonzales at Stella White), na siyang unang naging cover girl ng magazine. Ang unang editor-in-chief nito ay si Alexis F. Medina.

          Ang Spider-Man 2 (2004) ay gumawa ng record na 40.4-million-dollar ticket sale sa opening day nito. Tinalo nito ang record na ginawa ng Spider-Man (2002).
          Sa mga unang drafts ng script ng Spider-Man 2, hindi lang si Doctor Octopus ang Marvel costumed character na lalabas sa pelikula; kasama rin sina Black Cat, The Lizard at si Harry Osborn bilang ang bagong Green Goblin. Subalit sa suhestiyon ng screen story writer na si Michael Chabon nilimitahan na lamang ito sa labanang Spider-Man at Doctor Octopus.
