LOOK-ALIKES ON THE COVERS

Browsing through hundreds, no thousands, of magazine covers, I found similarities of how the covers were presented, the angles, the features, and of course the persons on the cover. Yes, the persons on the covers that seemingly the mirror image of another – look-alikes.
Since my high school days, I ostensibly developed some kind of mental retentivity. Recalling things that I have seen is a part of this. Using this ability, I tried collecting the images of magazine covers with similar features. Believe me, there are many.

In the next three comparisons, one needs added imagination. For there are similarities that cannot be seen in a single glance. For instance, I often play in my imagination the faces of Cindy Kurleto and Liv Tyler, and in many instances, they seem to look alike. Trish Loyola has her own unique beauty, but an angle or two and she would have an aura like that of Tetchie Agbayani. The same with Tracy Torres, and the late Claudia Zobel, eyes, nose, smiles, and sexy bodies.
Cindy Kurleto on the cover of FHM Philippines (April 2004)
and Liv Tyler on the cover of Interview (April 1999)

Tetchie Agbayani on the cover of People Magazine (July 25, 1982)
and Trish Loyola on the cover of 18 (December 2003)
Claudia Zobel on the cover of Sports World (November 12-18, 1983)
and Tracy Torres on the cover of 18 (September 2003)

What do Solenn Heussaff and Maggie Quigley have in common? The quick answers would be that they’re both actresses, have tattoos, and real hardcore femme fatale. Now look at the following cover pages and wonder.
Solenn Heussaff on the cover of Bannawag (April 11, 2016)
and Maggie Quigley on the cover of Aventura (December 2012)

Solenn Heussaff on the cover of UNO (October 2010)
and Maggie Quigley on the cover of Style (October 2003)

This one is another ringer. I initially thought it was Lea Salonga on both covers because of her name in the Palmolive Soap print ad at the right bottom corner. I bet nine out of 10 people will make the same mistake.
Lea Salonga on the cover of Mr. & Ms. (December 19, 2000)
and Tricia Miller on the cover of MOD Filipina (February 16, 1990)

Hollywood and Europe may have a Sophia Loren, but the Philippines has its own version of such exotic beauty in the person of Sofia Moran.
Sofia Moran on the cover of Pogi Magazine for Men (July 10, 1969)
and Sophia Loren on the cover of Life (August 22, 1955)
