          In 1995, at the age of 18, Sarah Michelle Gellar won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Kendall Hart in the TV series All My Children. In that same year, she left the series.
          Did you know how many times Gellar auditioned for the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1997? Gellar first auditioned for the supporting role of Cordelia. She did 11 screen tests before she was finally chosen to play the lead character of Buffy.
          The series lasted seven seasons totaling 144 episodes, and made Gellar and the character Buffy cult icons in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Even in the Philippines, TV viewers followed the adventures of Buffy, the teenage hero who fought vampires and other supernatural creatures.
