Itinampok sa unang isyu ang kuwento ni Virgilio Redondo na “Hindi Kita Malimot,” na pinagtulungan niya at ng kaniyang kapatid na si Nestor na iguhit. Picture Trivia

         The leopard (scientifically known as Panthera pardus) is a large spotted member of the cat family (Felidae) native to Africa and Asia. Do you know that leopards once inhabited much of Europe? They did, but became extinct there near the end of the Pleistocene, some 10,000 years ago. The oldest known fossils of leopards are from late Pliocene deposits (about two million years old) in India and southern Africa.

          Leopards are endangered throughout their distribution due to loss of habitat and natural prey, and hunting.

1899 – Inauguration of the First Philippine Republic (also the first republic in Asia) at Malolos, Bulacan, with General Emilio Aguinaldo as president.

1942 – Genereal Masaharu Homma, commender of the Japanese Imperial Army that occupied Manila, appointed Jorge B. Vargas as chairman of the Executive Commission, which will serve as a conduit of the Japanese military administration’s policies and requirements. The members included Benigno S. Aquino Sr, Interior; Jose P. Laurel, Justice; Antonio delas Alas, Finance; Rafael Alunan, Agriculture and Commerce; Claro M. Recto, Education, Health and Public Welfare; Quintin Paredes, Public Works and Communications.

1982 – Inauguration of the Lung Center of the Philippines, the most modern hospital for lungs and related diseases in Southeast Asia at the time.

2011 – Danica Flores Magpantay, a 17-year-old student from the University of the Philippines was named 2011 Ford “Supermodel of the World.”

          Ang isang top model ay yaong nakagawa ng pangalan sa isa or dalawang paraan ng pagmomodelo.

          Ang supermodel naman ay isang may kakayahang gumanap sa halos lahat ng paraang ng pagmomodelo at maging tampok at bihasa sa mga ito. Karaniwang nagiging household name ang kanilang pangalan at nakalabas na sila sa dose-dosenang cover pages ng mga magazines at fashion catalogues.
