President Rodrigo Duterte
is not alone in his allergy of American imperialism. Those who study history
well and scrutinize the many mirages created by the so-called “American Dream,”
know the darkness and sinisterness behind the most powerful nation in the
world. This article, “The American Dream,” was written 23 years ago when Bill
Clinton was president of the US, but its essay and significance, the reality
and stigma, remains to date.
