The San Juanico Bridge (also known as the Ferdinand Marcos Bridge) was the longest bridge in Southeast Asia at the time of its completion in 1972. It has an effective lifespan of 50 years if properly maintain. But after a change of administration, because of vindictive politics, maintenance of the bridge was abandoned.
