1761 – The Sulu Sultanate and the English East India Company concluded a treaty of alliance and commerce, signed in Jolo by Alexander Dalrymple (1737-1808) representing the English and Mohumud Mo-i-Iodin representing the sultanate.
1947 - President Manuel Roxas issued amnesty proclamation to Japanese collaborators and released Claro M. Recto, Jose P. Laurel, Benigno Ramos, Jose Vargas, and Jose C. Zulueta, among others.
1966 – Inauguration of the first Philippine-made neutron spectrometer.
