“For the undeserved kindness of GOD which brings salvation to all sorts of men has been manifested, instructing us to repudiate ungodliness and worldly desires and to live with soundness of mind and righteousness and godly devotion amid this present system of things, while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great GOD and of the savior of us, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us that He might deliver us from every sort of lawlessness and cleanse for Himself a people peculiarly His own, zealous for fine works.” – To Titus 2:11-14, New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.

Dagdag Kaalaman: Samu't-saring Tribiya

Dalawang magkasunod na isyu ng The Daily Sun,
Vol. 1 Nos. 52 & 53, Mayo 9 at 10, 2013.

Brooke Shields with Chris Atkins
in the film Blue Lagoon, on the cover of
People Weekly (August 11, 1980).
Picture Trivia
Brooke Shields was first seen in the film Pretty Baby (1978), where she portrayed the role of a child prostitute. In the film she appeared naked in several scenes, and because she was only 12-year-old then, questions were raised if the film can be classified as child pornography.
In Blue Lagoon (1980), the film where Shields was always remembered, she was 14 years old. She also had many nude and sex scenes with her co-star Chris Atkins in a tropical island. Do you know in what tropical island was the movie made? The film was shot in Jamaica and in Nanuya Levu, a privately owned island in Fiji, except for the “blue lagoon” scenes, which were made in Comino Island in Malta, and in Champagne bay in Vanuatu.

Picture Trivia
Joan Collins is famous for her role as the beautiful and vengeful ex-wife of tycoon Blake Carrington (John Forsythe) in the TV soap opera Dynasty (1981-1989). The role was offered to Collins in 1981 when Sofia Loren turned it down. Her performance is generally credited as one factor in the fledgling show’s subsequent rise in the Nielsen ratings to a hit rivaling and dislodging Dallas from the top of the ratings. For her portrayal in Dynasty, Collins was nominated six times for a Golden Globe Award (every year from 1982 to 1987), winning once in 1983, the same year she was nominated for an Emmy as Best Actress in a Drama Series.
