Ang “Totit” Ni Mars Ravelo
Mars Ravelo’s “Totit” on the pages of Sinagtala Year 5 Issue No.19, February 23, 1950.
Up Father’ at “The Newly Weds.”

Portrait of Karl Heinrich Marx
on the cover of Time (February 23, 1948).
Picture Trivia
The ideology founded by German philosopher Karl Heinrich Marx (1818-1883) – Marxism – spread to many countries at the start of the 20th century. This paved the way for the foundation and establishment of socialist countries throughout the world. Although there are similar ideological philosophy such as Leninism and Maoism, it is Marx that is recognized as one of the three architects of modern social science (The other two were French sociologist David Émile Durkheim, 1858-1917, and German political economist Karl Maximillan Weber, 1864-1920).
Karl Marx is also considered as one of the “most influential people in the history of the world.” In a BBC poll made in 1999, he was voted as the foremost “thinker of the millennium.”
