          The ABC situation-comedy television series, The Donna Reed Show, started in 1958. The series revolved around the life of Donna Stone (portrayed by Donna Reed), her pediatrician-husband Dr. Alex Reed (Carl Betz), and their two children Jeff (Paul Petersen) and Mary (Shelley Fabares). The sitcom lasted for eight seasons where Donna Reed got four Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award for her performance.
