The article, “Taj Mahal: Fading Memory of an Enduring Love” (p. 10), I remember I wrote after I read a newspaper article about “how pollution is destroying India’s historic symbol.

On this MOD Filipina April 3, 1992 issue, I also wrote the article, “An Eagle Named Hope” (p.12). This is 25 years ago after the news that the first ever fertilized egg of the rare Philippine eagle bred in captivity through artificial insemination was hatched. The eaglet was name Pag-asa (Hope). NOTE: In the article, President Rodrigo Duterte was mayor of Davao City, and it was mentioned that he made a pledge to donate 100,000 pesos from his discretionary funds for Pag-asa. The popular Astig President was already in my article 25 years ago!

The events written in this Celebrity World cover story, “Flowers and Contemplations for Flor (Contemplacion)” (pp.8-9), happened more than 22 years ago, when an injustice was committed to a Filipina in Singapore, a nation supposedly known for its democratic ideals. It was aptly supratitled “Eulogy for a Martyr,” because the Singaporean court of justice literally made her a martyr when they imposed the death penalty on an innocent housewife.

    Ang Tagalog Klasiks, na unang lumabas sa sirkulasyon noong Hulyo 16, 1949, ay inilimbag ng ACE Publishing. Ito ang panglimang tunay na komiks na lumabas sa sirkulasyon matapos ang Halakhak Komiks (Nobyembre 15, 1946), Pilipino Komiks (Hunyo 14, 1947), Balaghari Komiks (Marso 6, 1948) at Bituin Komiks (Mayo 7, 1949). Picture Trivia

For her portrayal as Guinevere in the film King Arthur (2004), English actress and model Keira Knightley trained in horseback-riding, boxing, sword fighting and archery. She nearly killed one of the horses used in the film when it was hit by an arrow while she was practicing her archery skill.
Knightley revealed that digital enhancement were made in her breasts in the American promotional movie posters to make them look larger.

          The 1999 film Wild, Wild West starring Will Smith (as James T. West) and Kevin Kline (as Artemus Gordon) is a big screen adaptation of the CBS television series The Wild, Wild West (1965-1969). The TV version featured Robert Conrad as the courageous, resourceful and fast gun James T. West, and Rose Martin as the gadgets experts and master of disguise Artemus Gordon. The hit TV series was created by Michael Garrison at the time when “spy” films were very popular. Garrison called his lead character as the “James Bond on horseback.”
