1968 – Benjie Paras (full name Venancio Johnson Paras Jr), basketball player, the first PBA player to win the Rookie of the Year (1989) and Most Valuable Player (1989 and 1999) awards on the same year, and actor – in Caloocan City.

          Do you know that the original Charlie’s Angels Kate Jackson (as Sabrina Duncan), Jacklyn Smith (as Kelly Garrett) and Farrah Fawcett (as Jill Munroe) were together only for the first season of the series? This was in 1976-1977 when the program was Number 1 on the ratings. Fawcett left after Season 1 and only has guest appearances in Seasons 3 and 4. In total, the three original Angels were only together in 29 episodes.

In the middle of the performance, Madonna kissed Spears and Aguillera on the lips. The kiss between Madonna and Spears left a sterling mark on the media. 1898 – The La Libertad, the first newspaper of the Philippine Revolution, was published by Clemente Z. Zulueta. It was later suspended by Emilio Aguinaldo for failure to have a publication license.

1947 – Lipa (in Batangas) and Dagupan (in Pangasinan) were declared cities by virtue of Republic Act Nos. 162 and 170 respectively.

1952 – Tacloban (capital of Leyte) was declared a city by virtue of Republic Act No. 460.

1957 – The Anti-Subversion Law (Republic Act No. 1700) took effect.

1959 – Cotobato (in North Cotobato) was declared a city by virtue of Republic Act No. 2364.

1763 – Diego Silang, the leader of the Ilocos rebellion against Spain, was assassinated by Miguel Vicos in Ilocos Sur on orders of the friars.

1898 – General Emilio Aguinaldo was victorious against the Spanish forces in Alapan, Imus, Cavite. The Philippine flag sewn in Hongkong by Marcela Marino de Agoncillo with the help of her daughter Lorenza and Delfina Herbosa de Natividad (a niece of Dr. Jose Rizal), and brought home by Aguinaldo, was first displayed in battle and hoisted in victory.

1977 – Pres. Ferdinand Marcos issued Presidential Decree No. 1143, instituting the technical descriptions of the Philippine Archipelago making the Philippine Islands into two parcels with Binondo Church as the tie point.

          The actresses who portrayed the original Charlie’s Angel on the television series were Farrah Fawcett (as Jill Munroe), Kate Jackson (as Sabrina Duncan) at Jaclyn Smith (as Kelly Garrett). The series was conceptualized by Australian screenwriter Ivan Goff (1910-1999) and American film-television writer Benjamin Eisenberg Roberts (1916-1984).
