The Philippines has
recently introduced new coins in circulation. This article, “Coins, Coins, No
More Confusing Coins?” that I wrote 21 years ago may serve as a timely backgrounder. It was written during the time –
post Cory Aquino regime – when to many different coins were in circulation, and
when the buying value of the coins was at its worst. (SEE also

“When a man is too
lazy to repair his roof, it will leak, and the house will fall in. Feasting
makes you happy and wine cheers you up, but you can’t have either without
money.” – Ecclesiastes 10:18-19, The Good
News Bible in Today’s English Version.
