The second year (2007) I did MOD’s “Most Beautiful Women in the World” list. It was supposed to be 100 names compiled from different surveys from Number 1 to 100, but the editor chose to put in only 20 with no particular order. I remember Maja Salvador, Angel Locsin, Jessica Alba, Marian Rivera, and Anne Hathaway topping that year’s list.

Different international magazines feature the so-called “top list” annually: FHM with the “100 Sexiest Women,” Maxim with the “Hot 100,” etc. And it sells! So, I thought of creating such a list – “101 Most Beautiful Women in the World” – for MOD magazine. It was not, however, promoted well and the magazine didn’t sustain its publication. Too bad. It was picked-up by another local magazine and they have been publishing it annually ever since. And yes, it really sells!

Here, in this MOD 32nd Anniversary Special, is my brainchild, the “101 Most Beautiful Women in the World” list. Plus a congruent list of the “32 Most Beautiful Filipinas.”

Also in this anniversary issue is an early article for the Holidays – “All You Want to See This Christmas” – which is another list, of brief info about Christmas films.
