PERFECT PALINDROMIC DATE
This day, February 2, 2020, or otherwise
written as 02-02-2020, is a perfect palindromic date, that is having eight
charaters instead of 7 with four 2’s and four zeroes. It is also the only
two-number perfect palindromic date since December 21, 1221, which is about 800
years ago.
This The
National Enquirer
was issued on October 2, 2001,
a perfect palindromic date,
the first in the 21st century. |
Before the 21st century, the last time
it occurred was on December 31, 1321 (12-31-1321). It took 679 years and 9
months before another perfect configuration became a reality, on October 2,
2001 (10-02-2001), the first occurrence in the 21st century. It happened again
twice, before today, on January 2, 2010 (01-02-2010) and on November 2, 2011
(11-02-2011).
The next
time it will occur is next year, on December 2, 2021 (12-02-2021). Then it
would take nearly 80 years before another occurrence, on October 21, 2101.
