          Noong Disyembre 19, 1899, sa kasagsagan ng Philippine-American War, nagapi ng mga sundalong Filipino na pinamumunuan ni Heneral Licerio Geronimo ang puwersa ng mga Amerikano sa Battle of San Mateo (Rizal). Sa labanang ito, napatay ang bayani ng American Civil War na si Heneral Henry Lawton, na siyang namuno sa panig ng mga Amerikano.

Nagsuot din siya ng Darna outfit sa kaniyang The Singer and the Songwriter concert tour (2004).

Isa pang karagdagan trivia: Sa simula ng GMA-7 television series na Darna (2005) ni Angel Locsin, boses ni Regine Velasquez ang ginagamit sa tuwing sisigaw ang karakter na si Narda ng “Darna.”

1882 – The Carriedo Waterwork was inaugurated, for which water supply for the greater Manila area came from the Marikina River and stored at a reservoir (known as El Deposito) in San Juan (then part of Morong Province).

1898 – General Wesley Merritt arrived in Manila. He is to become the first military American governor of the Philippines.

Picture Trivia

          In 1980, Clint Eastwood produced and starred in the film Bronco Billy where his children Kyle and Alison also played a small part. Although the film was considered a “commercial failure,” many movie critics liked it. It is said to be one of Eastwood’s humorous portrayal.
