1916 – Through Act No. 2572, the Division of Ethnology and the Fine Arts Division of the Philippine Museum were merged with the National Library under the supervision of the Department of Justice.
1945 – Josefa Llanes Escoda was executed by Japanese soldiers.
1982 – First Manila International Marathon was held. Waldemar Cierpinski of East Germany won the event with a time of two hours 14 minutes and 27 seconds. Philip Camp (U.S.) and Chang Ming Cheng (Taiwan) was second and third, respectively. The top Filipino finisher was Ricardo Carillo, runner from the Philippine Army, who placed sixth overall with a time of 2:25:01.

          Noong Enero 30, 1899, ang Real Audiencia, ang pinakamataas na hukuman noong panahon ng mga Kastila ay pinalitan ng Kataastaasang Hukuman (Supreme Court), at si Cayetano Arellano (1847-1920) ang hinirang na kauna-unahang Punong-Mahistrado (Chief Justice).

UNANG LABAS
Ang CRAF Klasix Magasin ng CRAF Publishing Inc. ay unang lumabas noong Enero 29, 1964. Tampok ang “Conquistador” sa spread cover ng unang labas ng komiks na ito. Ang mga letrang CRAF ay sumasagisag sa pangalan ng apat na alamat ng komiks sa Pilipinas: “C” para kay Coching, “R” para kay Nestor Redondo, “A” para kay Alfredo Alcala at “F” para kay Jim Fernandez. Isinabay ang paglabas sa sirkulasyon ng CRAF Klasix sa ika-45 kaarawan ni Coching, ang “Dekano ng mga Filipino Komiks Illustrators.”
Ang unang labas ng CRAF Klasix noong Enero 29, 1964.
Tampok sa spread cover ang nobelang "Conquistador."

1850 - Lottery was introduced in the Philippines through a Spanish Royal Decree. The Loteria Nacional was managed by the government and was held in Intramuros, Manila.
1889 – Davao was renamed Nueva Guipuzcoa by Spanish royal decree.
1982 – Founding of the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines (ECP) with Imee Marcos as chairperson and Johnny Litton as director-general.

1946 – First session of the Philippine Congress after World War II.
1975 – Start of the first Nuclear Reactor Operators Training Course in the Philippines.
1987 – Colonel Rolando Abadilla led rebel soldiers in the takeover of GMA Channel 7. Simultaneously, another group headed by Colonel Bertuldo de la Cruz attacked Villamor Air Base. The two groups attempted to overthrow the Aquino government but surrendered three days later.

January 26 in Philippine History:
1821 – Governor-General Mariano Fernandez de Folgueras and Archbishop Luis de Arrejola issued instructions for the election of Filipino deputies to the Spanish Cortez.
1967 – Gil J. Puyat became Senate President of the Philippines. He held the position for six years until the Senate was abolished by Martial Law.
1970 – Youth and student demonstration in front of the Philippine Congress calling for a nonpartisan constitutional convention, which led to more protest rallies. Imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat-capitalism were the main issues of the student movement that came to be called the “First Quarter Storm.”

Sa larangan ng adult entertainment, sa loob lamang ng tatlong taon ay sumikat siya at nanalo ng maraming awards. Kabilang siya sa Hall of Fame ng X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) at Adult Video News (AVN). Tinagurian din siyang “World’s Most Famous Porn Star” at “The Queen of Porn.”
          Itinatag niya ang pornographic entertainment company na Club Jenna, kung saan naging katulong niya si Jay Grdina, na naging asawa niya.           Si Jenna Jameson ay naging host din sa Playboy TV reality show na Jenna’s American Sex Star, kung saan ang mga nangangarap na maging sikat na porn actress ay nagpapaligsahan upang magkamit ng Club Jenna contract.
